2013-14 Program of Work

The following are the main areas of focus for the OACTS organization for 2013-14. The Executive Director will communicate with the Executive Committee and membership on progress toward these areas.

Adult Education/University System of Ohio
• Continue to assure OACTS representation
• Continue collaboration with community college leadership
• Seek adequacy and equity for Adult Workforce funding

CTE Leadership Program
• Continue Aspiring Superintendents leadership program
• Continue to seek investment partners
• Support the Byrl R. Shoemaker CTE Leadership Institute

CTE Program Quality Assurance
• Work to impact career technical report card components development at the state level
• Work to impact approved technical assessments
• Develop system for “warehousing” critical career technical data information
• Implement the Health Informatics Pilot program

Funding/Legislative Issues
• Identify and communicate legislative issues as they arise
• Work with legislative counsel to develop and implement policy and legislative strategies
